The HTC Butterfly S sports a 5-inch full-HD panel. It has front-facing BoomSound speakers like the ones in HTC One. The phone dimensions are 144.5 x 70.5 x 10.6 mm and it weighs just 160 gms. The handset is curved gently to fit into your palms and comes with a glossy Black plastic.
Display
The 5.0 inch Super LCD3 Full HD 1080p, 440PPI screen delivers good color reproduction as well as wide viewing angles. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, making it resistant to scratches and fingerprints.
OS & Processor
The HTC Butterfly S runs on Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.0 & HTC BlinkFeed UI. This 5-inch smartphone features a super fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, 1.9 GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 320 GPU. The Adreno 320 graphics allow you to play all the latest games in intricate detail without any glitch, and truly bring out the vibrant display.
Connectivity
HTC Butterfly S has a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack and connectivity features such as NFC, Wi-Fi: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX enabled and DLNA for wireless streaming media from the phone to a compatible TV or computer. It is also supported by consumer infrared remote control.
Multimedia
It supports various audio formats such as .aac, .amr, .ogg, .m4a, .mid, .mp3, .wav, .wma (Windows Media Audio 9). The Video supported formats are .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .wmv (Windows Media Video 9), .avi (MP4 ASP and MP3).
Camera
The HTC Butterfly S comes with a 4 MP UltraPixel camera (f/2.0 module). It has features such as HTC Zoe with Sequence Shot, Always Smile and Object Removal. It also has Continuous shooting and Slow motion video recording with variable speed playback. The front camera is a 2.1 megapixel, one that will help in video conferencing and taking Selfies.
Other Features
The Butterfly S has HTC BoomSound. It has dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers with Studio-quality sound with Beats Audio feature. It also has the HTC sense voice feature. Gyro sensor, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor are inclusive all other features this smartphone comes with.
Memory & Battery
It has a 2GB RAM and an internal memory of 16GB. The internal memory can be expanded upto 64GB with the help of an external micro SD card which can be inserted in the available micro SD slot. The Butterfly S comes with a whopping 3200mAh battery to support its super fast proccessor. The estimated talk time is 29 hours on 2G and 25 hours on 3G. The battery is non-removable and so is not replaceable.
